Description
:
White, brown or red-brown, sometimes with mottling. Upper body covered with
cone shaped papillae. Flattened sole with yellowish-tipped tube feet.

Ecology
Shallow water species. Lagoons with seagrass and hard bottoms from 1 to 15ft (0.3-5m).

Life Cycle
Spawning and fertilization are both external. Embryos develop into planktotrophic larvae (auricularia) then into doliolaria (barrel-shaped stage) which later metamorphose into juvenile sea cucumbers
