Long narrow extension of aperture's upper lip. Distinct ridges on shell.

Ecology
Found in shallow water on seagrass and sand around patch reefs to depths of 20ft (7m). Feeds on algae.

Life Cycle
Development includes a long-lasting, planktotrophic stage, with the larvae feeding mainly on plankton.
