Carapace up to 3cm wide. 

Description
:
Highly dorso-ventrally flattened. Reddish to brown mottled carapace with a yellowish or whitish central line from front to rear. Long, splayed walking legs with
white/ yellow bands around joints and  a row of spines along the leading edge. Horizontal yellow line runs across front of carapace below eyes. Eyes superior.

Ecology
Found in shallow rocky areas, including in the spray zone. Often associated  (found underneath) with Long spined Sea urchins (Diadema antillarum). Strictly herbivorous.
